HIS BACKGROUND
Bob graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1979, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the States of Illinois and California, since 1981 and 1984 respectively. His experience in both public accounting and the private sector formed a strong foundation for his career. Through a series of successions and mergers, Bob became partners with Paul Benjamin in 1988, and they joined with Edward Simkin in 2007 to form Echales, Benjamin & Simkin, L.L.P.
Bob believes in the value of relationships and views each one like a partnership. His goal is to not only take care of his clients’ needs, but to exceed their expectations. Bob has been married since 1989 and has two children. In addition to his passion for family and profession, Bob enjoys working out daily and long distance bike touring.
HIS EXPERTISE
Bob advises clients on a variety of issues ranging from individual tax planning, wealth management, progressive business planning, corporate and partnership concerns, qualified retirement plans, IRS representation, business acquisition and sale, estate and trust matters, and elder care services. Business industries served include manufacturing, wholesale, retail, professional services organizations (physicians, attorneys, and consultants), real estate operators and developers, and outdoor advertising.
He has also received his designation as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) in 2001. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, and the California Society of CPA.
